Steven Riggers
Steven RiggersOwner & Operator
Owner and operator Steven Riggers graduated from Boise State University in 1980. Steve joined the family farm in 1981. During the 1980s Steve helped develop Positive Ag which worked with the Idaho Wheat Commission on educating the public about environmental issues affecting agriculture.

In 1990, Steve was named the Lewis County Conservation Farmer of the Year in and in 1996, the Farm Journal Spokesman of the Year Runner Up. Steve recently served on the Lewis County Soil Conservation Board from 2004 to 2008.

Today, Steve lives in Craigmont, Idaho with his wife and farm co-owner Joan Riggers. Steve and Joan have two children, Tyler and Brenna. Both Tyler and Brenna have spent time working on the farm, especially during the busy harvest season. In his free time, Steve enjoys Alpine skiing, golfing, fishing and playing the guitar.

Nathan Riggers
Nathan RiggersOwner & Operator
Owner and operator, Nathan Riggers, graduated from the University of Idaho, College of Agriculture in 1987. After graduation, Nathan worked in the grain and seed industry until 1992 when he joined his father, Stan, and his brother, Steven, on the family operation. Nathan is a past President of Nezperce Prairie Grass Grower’s Association and serves on the Board of Directors of Northwest Farm Credit Services.

Nathan and his wife and farm co-owner, Chrissy Riggers, have three children, Katy,  Jonathon, and Christopher.  Christopher is a senior at Purdue University majoring in Agribusiness Management.  He will join CHS Inc. as a grain merchandiser following graduation in May.   Jonathon is a junior at the U.S. Naval Academy and is studying Aerospace Engineering while Katy is a freshman at Nezperce. Chrissy, also a graduate of the University of Idaho teaches Family & Consumer Science at Nezperce High School.

Stanley Riggers
Stanley Riggers

Stanley graduated from the University of Idaho in 1952 with a degree in Journalism. In 1955, Stanley returned to farm with his father, Wink, and his two brothers, Robert and Gerald. During the 1980s Stanley served on the Lewiston Grain Growers board. In 1992, Stanley was appointed to the Idaho Barley Commission where he served for six years.

Stanley has been involved in the Craigmont community his entire life. He has spent over fifty years as a member of The Craigmont Lions Club and the choir at the United Community Church. During his free time, Stanley enjoys fishing and bowling.

Today, Stanley lives just outside of Craigmont with his wife Betty Riggers. Betty and Stanley have four sons, Michael, Timothy, Steven and Nathan. Although he is technically retired, Stanley is still very involved with the day-to-day operations of the farm.

Brian Kirkland

Employee, Brian Kirkland, originally from Kendrick, Idaho joined the Riggers in 2010. In addition to farming, Brian’s past experience includes work in forestry and crop protection product sales. Brian’s grandfather and uncle own and operate a farm in Kendrick.  Today, Brian lives with his wife, Juanita, and their three children.
